Frequently Asked Questions
Are there exceptions to the age range requirement?
The ages listed must be reached by the date of the first class to be eligible due to insurance purposes. If you think you are eligible and are not able to register, please contact us.
What are the exact registration dates?
We send an e-newsletter one week before registration opens. Sign up for the e-newsletter to get notified!
Are payment plans available?
Yes, at registration you can pay in full or pay a deposit to hold your spot. Deposits amounts are:
- $50 for programs between $100 and $300
- $100 for programs between $300 and $500
- $250 for programs $500 and up
- $500 for the Forest Learners Program
Installments for the remaining balance automatically occur on August 1st, December 1st, and March 1st.
Monthly installments are available by request for those enrolled in Weekly Forest Programs only.
Are scholarships available?
Soaring Eagle Nature School is committed to being accessible regardless of financial income through our Scholarship Fund so that no one is turned away from a program.
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so we recommend applying early. With that said, we ask that registration for your program of choice is completed before submitting an application for a scholarship. We are able to waive the deposit taken at registration if needed until the scholarship has been awarded.
Please complete the Scholarship Form (PDF) and send the form to jenna@soaringeaglenatureschool.org.
How do wait lists work for Year-long Forest School Programs?
If our programs are full for the current school year, we recommend joining a wait list for your preferred year-long nature school program to get contacted if a spot becomes available. However, even if we have openings, we do not register anyone new after spring break.
All families who are on the wait list for the current school year will be contacted to register early for the next school year’s year-long nature school programs.
What are the chances of getting a spot in Spring Break Camp and Summer Camp from the wait list?
While we cannot guarantee a spot will become available, we do know that schedules change and families make other arrangements. If a spot comes up, we will let you know as soon as possible.
What are your refund and cancellation policies?
If you cancel or are unable to attend a program for any reason:
- 15 or more days before the start date, you are entitled to a full refund, minus the deposit and a $20 administration fee.
- Less than 15 days before the program, or once the program has begun, there will be no refunds. If the spot gets filled, we can issue a refund minus the deposit, the fee for program days attended or missed before the spot was filled, and a $20 administration fee. No spots are filled for Monthly Forest Programs after two sessions have occurred.
Any program changes are subject to a $20 administration fee.
Please visit our Policy Page for a complete list of our policies.
Are there discounts for enrolling siblings?
Yes, the third child enrolled in a year-long program gets 10% off. This applies to the family program as well. However, the discount is not automatically applied, so please contact us to adjust your household account.
The only exception is for the Forest Learners Program, where the second child is eligible for the 10% discount.
